On November 1, 2016 the Fresh Figs Marketing Team celebrated our three-year anniversary. Like everyone always says – it flew by! Our original team is still together, and Emelie, our Content Ninja, has been with us for over two years now. We made it through that first year of the unknown, proved our viability in year two, and finally began to settle into ourselves in year three. Our clients have stuck with us through our evolution, and it is because of them that we truly enjoy what we do every day.
So, what have we learned over the past three years of working our marketing mojo?
1) Embrace Change – Working in the digital space means never knowing what you are going to get when you sit down at your computer in the morning. Well-researched and crafted strategies may have to be thrown out the window due to a social media platform’s protocol change. A daily used web-based tool may not be working today. The internet may go out! If we allowed ourselves to be rattled by this constant unknown we would be in the wrong business.
2) Love What You Do – Our team is successful because each of us is passionate about what we do. Emelie loves to write and create, Grace loves to design and develop, and Jennifer loves to strategize and connect. Our commitment to our chosen crafts means we set high standards for ourselves and have those same expectations of each other. Our shared vision of quality allows us to work together successfully and to serve our clients well along the way!
3) People First – While we set high standards for ourselves, we place the team first. We take the time to check in with each other, offering help or feedback when it is needed. “Good job”, “Nicely done” and “Thank you” are daily words in our office – face-to-face or virtual. Flexibility, respect and fun are company values at Fresh Figs Marketing, and maintaining a positive and nurturing company culture is important to us. We believe this way of doing business benefits our clients as well.
